My Wedding Dream

by Lost in Love   Jun 30, 2004

Watching you slowly walk down the aisle
Hoping this feeling lasts a while
Standing there my heart pounding
On my shoulders the nervousness is mounding

Finally you have reached the alter next to me
I look out in the crowd and see all our friends and family
I look at you and see my future life
Holding the hand of my future wife

You finally say your vows
Now it’s my turn to tell you what my loves about
I say how ill be there for sickness and in health to have and to hold
For richer and for poor

Now comes the two most powerful words
Something that I have never heard
You say softly I Do
Then I say it too.

I slide the ring slowly up your finger
Looking into your eyes I feel our love linger
The father says I know pronounce you man and wife
And you may kiss the bride

I lift up your veil and hold you close
I kiss your lips but I don’t let go
You throw the bouquet and off we go
Now we are together for everyone to know

You have my last name please take it with pride
And no that my love for you will never die
Then I return from my daydream
But every day I pray that this can be
