Heavenly angel
glowing outside my window
bringing Christmas hope.

The winter solstice
means Christmas is on it's way
for all to enjoy.

Little tired elves
tidying up the workshop
checking all the toys.

Colourful tree with
candy canes and chocolates
dangling from branches.

One smiling snowman
cosy in a knitted scarf,
carrot for his nose.

Choirs singing out
with echoes of jingle bells
travelling through town.

Jolly Santa Claus
delivering gifts to make
children smile with glee.

Morning comes at last,
presents waiting patiently
for little fingers.

Their smiling faces
will forever be what makes
Christmas so worth while.
