Bitter After-taste

by Blood of a Lion   Dec 27, 2012

At a moment,
A falling toward a cave,
Darkness that is more of an envelope.
Follow through the seismic wave of Asinere.

Sequence of events,
Leading into your core.

Rendering in through the waves,
You find a season to remember,
But the season is no pleasant one.

A wintry mix of death,
Entwined in a mixture of love,
The sun crests over your mountain,
But it only helps a litte.

We cannot deem it acceptable.
We can only etch our way through our life.
I find the door, and somehow, someway,
You do not follow.

I left it open,
The light filled the room and the sun,
The sun shone its decadence inwards.
But you were never attracted to the light.
The darkness is what you enjoyed.

The bitterest of tastes that I somehow imbue,
And yet its mixture of addiction is without a doubt.
But the bitter taste returned,
And so when the bitterness turned to sweetness,
You threw it up, and me along with it.

I like the vocab... Wintry, decadence, and season! Actually many more words but those are the ones I remember.

I also think the same as autumbre on the interpretation but lol. I already know it's right.

Also one can deduce this from the title ... Bitter after taste. .. However, it seems this someone like bitter and darkness instead of light and sweet. Who understands people?

This poem has a sadness within every line, I appreciate the details you entwined in this write like " Darkness that is more of an envelope" and "The sun crest over your mountains but it only helps little". These two lines stands out, from reading this I interpret that this person here brings you a temporary pleasure with many pains attach.

    Great write.
