This was absolutely amazing, likening yourself to a dragonfly and the creativity. With the extract as well. This was beautiful and romantic. xx

    She completes the exit
in a soft whisper, as her
    eyes look in the distance
    of a soul that radiates
    her heartbeat.

    - very lovely opening. I like that you used looking into their soul, because the soul tells so much more than what looking into their eyes do. It is clear how they make you feel right away by stating that they radiate your heart beat - that is a powerful love.

    The vows she hears
    are the grand entrance
to what she feels for him.

    - this is beautiful because it is returned, she feels the love returned and so the relationship is clearly strong and equal as it should be.

The days flicker by like a
    melting candle, each moment
is precious when loving the one
person who rests by her side.

    - I like this very much, it has a slight hint of sadness, and recognition of the time passing ( wax melting ) and so it makes you value each present moment even more.

In the arms of a man that lights
her heart, like a dragonfly in love-
    he fills her thoughts with
    peace, hope, and tranquility,

    - great use of the dragonfly, very clever Maple. I could imagine how bright a dragonfly would be if it was in love and the love lit up their heart too. That was beuaitful imagery. You then describe how they make you feel, what they offer you, all of things which are not easy to do and can never be bought, priceless things.

He is her breathe, as she
is his spirit, to carry on in life
as in death, for they are eternally
    bound together in love.

    - breathe = breath.
    - lovely ending, knowing that the love will last forever, even beyond distance and beyond time, the flame of the candle will never truly burn out.

This is a beautiful message Maple xx

I haven't read this book so my comment will just be based on my thoughts....this unfolded like some ballet performance combined with an opera IMO...

She tries to get his attention although...secretly she knows she already has it but...it's a game they both love to play? He adores her so much that he is willing to pander to her game knowing that the senario will always be the same for....they are in love....

Beautiful write and a very creative way of telling us all you love your man and he loves you too!

This was a very sweet, romantic poem.

He is her breath, as she
is his spirit, to carry on in life
as in death, for they are eternally
    bound together in love.

    ^
I really enjoyed the last stanza. Especially the first part where it says "He is her breath." Because when I think of my fiance, that's what he is. My breath.

^^ this is my favorite part. Love is beautiful and the way you portray it with your words shows it.

What a beautiful love poem for your husband Andrea...seriously. I feel as if you could of only wrote the last stanza and it could have stood alone as a poem. The power and affection in it was just amazing.

This is beautiful, the two of you are inspiring. I love you!

Beautiful poem Andrea and it's so sweet this is for your husband! What purity here, what love that really has is bound in something so deep. Very soft images, loved the uniqueness of incorporating the dragonfly in love. How simple yet how profound. Beautifully written :]
