Between, but not bypassed

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 2, 2013

Autumn and spring are written in your heels;
they are brothers and sisters you may not
identify with, for it's implied fire pits will
keep you safe from

you.

I'm trying to concentrate on how you
are when everyone brushes you off their
tight shoulders like fleas or ticks,
though you're just a cold season,
not held against hands quite
enough.

Division/ opportunity/ term/ occasion
are all synonyms, and there are few
antonyms to be seen.

Your colour is only responsive
if someone blinks your way, but I know
you as an era of light that reflects more
than illuminations we close ourselves to.

There's going to be a story about you,
I'm telling you now....
you are shared between seasons
but you won't expire and be left

untouched.

Maryanne, This is breathtaking, it is so captivating, in the way you penned it, its practically perfect. The imagery too was strong and there is a sense of warmth which radiates in the chill of winter, a love for the air.

    So well penned.
