A man and his symbols

by Karla   Jan 5, 2013

He inherited some metaphors and
an unbowed head when
he used to believe.
Sometimes his thoughts find
words and he withdraws
from the shadow of his mind.
-Sometimes-

My dissolute eyes not blurred
by comfort or consideration
watch him walking
the common road.

He doesn't know but
he is sinking in
his pure smoky depths.

My darkness just observes
what stands between him
and his meaning.

Like always your pieces are deep..the unbowed head makes me feel this is somehow connected to religion. It goes Alot deeper with sinking in smokey depths.
inherited metaphors shows us something about the subject of your poem too..a poet perhaps? There is alot of darkness to this piece too. Enjoyed reading my friend.
