Fear of Love

by Khalid M Darwish   Jan 5, 2013

I filled your eyes
I filled your heart
and now I'm a ring
that tries hopelessly
to surround your finger
It seems it's time for despair

At moments of farewell
all feelings freeze up
Crying seems useless
and so does the smile
and you never know
how it's going to end

to whom you want to listen
a heart that knows nothing but pain?
or an eye that gives birth to nothing but tears?
What type suits you better?

Screaming inside me is loud
and I can't speak it out
I might end it with a sigh
that pulls a tear behind it

Here I'm like a rose seller
Foiling roses for hard lovers
Smiling deeply to passengers
While ignoring my wish
To have one for me

Aw...this is so sweet and sad at the same time. It's hard to observe others that are experiencing a blissful love while you are patiently but anxiously awaiting for your true love.

Beautiful write and someday you'll have the same feelings that those who bought roses from you had.

    Beautiful... 5/5
