Little One

by Roses Bleed   Jan 7, 2013

Little One
left alone
Little One
crying her heart out
Little One
waiting for her father to come home

A young childs crouches under a table, shaking
holding tight to consciousness
Finally getting her sister isn't waking

She screams for Daddy
remembering the peace he brought
Stuffed toys, pink cotton candy
piggy-back rides, and yelling she's going to get caught

Anguish pushed the blade
pain caused the vein to burst
All she had was hate
mother never knew she had it worse

A man watches in the back, as his daughter is lowered six feet deep
finally knowing pain
He sees his wife begin to weep
crying a little girl's name
