This was sad in the fact that it holds the unknown, it talks about pain and how that pain may be healed but no-one is sure.
But there was a light, a hope, a spirit, so you, and I love it, you are such an exquisite writer, your pen is a marvel.

Very emotional. It shows your goodness with every word. I hope all goes well with a person who is friended by you in their bad times.
    Stay strong:)

Beautifully sad MT. Your poetry always impresses...one little thing:

    from this violent storm,
    than I will be there
    ^^^
    (Then)
    to hold his hand.

What can I say...except, I know how you feel...it goes without saying that we will do anything for the people we love.

    The words spoken
    are like a quivering
    reality, he needs me,
as soft rain is to flower
    buds on a crisp spring
    morning.

    ^^^

Beautiful opening but I think it would be better if you put a period after reality. It would give more of an impact to your next sentence IMO.

    I shall venture back
    to a place I'd rather
    not be, the tornado's
    are violent, but nothing
    can keep me away,
    in his time of need.

    ^^^

Tordados? A metaphor for what will face you when you return...perhaps? it's not the best situation but, like you say, nothing will stop you being there...liked it!

    If the dew drops from
    my iris's can bring him
    comfort, when the knife
    enters his beautiful mind,
then I shall weep by his side.

    ^^^^

This is perhaps the most emotional stanza although, I doubt if you'd let him see you cry....you are too strong a person for that I feel.

    Even pumpkins need
    to believe in miracles,
    and if the surgery can
    grant him relaxation
    from this violent storm,
    then I will be there
    to hold his hand....

Pumpkin?...his pet name for you I feel? Only because my dad had a pet name for me which I loved....yeah...I think this is about your father Andrea? I hope things work out for you both and...just ingnore the tornados....they tend to be full of wind at the end of the day :)
