Adventures In The Sun

Driving in the car along the country roads,
watching the wildlife running in the fields
with the sun shining through the window.

Walking along the golden sand,
picking up shells from the beach
with the sun shining on our skin.

Eating a picnic on the soft green grass,
making shapes from the clouds above
with the sun shining upon the flowers.

Sleeping peacefully under the cosy blanket
which has been knitted with Nonna's love,
with the sun shining on our dreams.

Smiling for the photographs
that will forever store these memories
of the sun shining always in our hearts.

    Saffie, it's been too long since I have read something of yours... I think I will OD on your poetry right now. :)

    The sun is the star of this poem...that no matter where you go, it brings happiness into your life. The scenes you paint here are just so serene and amazing, it makes me want to just lay under the sun and just relax.

    I love the mention of your blanket, knitted from your Nonna, it adds so much emotion to it. <3

    Very idealistic and moving at the same time.
    It is almost a reminder to take stock of the little things we all take for granted.
    There is a simple happiness in this poem,
    which is nice to read from you.
    Love how the sun is enjoyed in various scenarios, it works well and knits each stanza together nicely.
    Heartwarming
    nice write.

    This is such an adorable scene...I find joy in pieces like these, its so happy and sweet, it makes one want to be in this moment...

    The decriptions are perfect, creates the moment very nicely :)
