Lifeless

by Some Random Human   Jan 14, 2013

I have got so much to say,
if only I could see your face,
I cannot escape this place,
or these things I can't erase,
nothing ever goes my way,
does no good to complain,
now this love that I have slain,
on my hands has left its stain,

It's dark as night in the day,
lifeless lips call my name,
haunted by this picture frame,
and I know that I'm to blame,

I hit my knees and start to pray,
there's no place that I feel safe,
lost without this life you waste,
how could you use such haste,
I read that letter every day,
and shed my tears at your grave,
sometimes feel like I'm a slave,
if only you I could have saved,

It's dark as night in the day,
lifeless lips call my name,
haunted by this picture frame,
and I know that I'm to blame,

Now it's dark as night in the day,
your lifeless lips call my name,
I'm haunted by your picture frame,
please tell me I'm not to blame...
