You are my nature

by Chelsey   Jan 18, 2013

You are my nature. For reality doesn't exist anymore and
I can't say that I miss feeling the warmth kiss my freckles.
I have the heat that is between us, I have the shine that
radiates from your smile. I bathe in your projecting sunlight.

What are dull clouds and rain storms? You have brought
so much laughter to me, that my sky is always peaceful.
Everywhere I look resembles something that you acquire,
be it your eyes or your face. You are everywhere I go.

Oh, what a beautiful sight you are. Rainbows don't do
justice to the hues I see around your aura. Fireflies
are nothing I want to bottle anymore. You are what
I wish to catch and hold on to for as long as you allow.

If I never see a morning rise, or a star dart across the
nights sky, disappointment will not arise. For you are
truly the perfect scenery. A beautiful visual of what
happiness should look like. You are my nature.

When you think of the word nature you visualize the beauty of it, and how precious it is. Using it for a person shows how much that person means to you.
I love this, Awesome job Chels:)

You are my nature. For reality doesn't exist anymore and
I can't say that I miss feeling the warmth kiss my freckles.
I have the heat that is between us, I have the shine that
radiates from your smile. I bathe in your projecting sunlight.

    - I love this opening because it made me think of the winter months and how the heat is gone and the sun is not around much but you have the brightness and the warmth through their love so you do not miss it. They are your sun.

What are dull clouds and rain storms? You have brought
so much laughter to me, that my sky is always peaceful.
Everywhere I look resembles something that you acquire,
be it your eyes or your face. You are everywhere I go.

    - This is really sweet, that when you look around there is so much beautiful things in nature that remind you of this person and something they carry or behold. To be reminded of them all through out the day because it feels like they are around you, this is so brilliant to experience and you have captured it well through your words.

Oh, what a beautiful sight you are. Rainbows don't do
justice to the hues I see around your aura. Fireflies
are nothing I want to bottle anymore. You are what
I wish to catch and hold on to for as long as you allow.

    - This shows how much they mean to you and how even the most beuatiful things in nature dont hold a patch on the beauty of this love and this person and what they mean to you. I like the idea of catching them and holding on to them. The way you have mentioned " if they allow" you to do this, makes me think you are hoping this never ends and just want to make the most of what you have while you have it and hope they take a chance on you as you have done with them.

If I never see a morning rise, or a star dart across the

truly the perfect scenery. A beautiful visual of what
happiness should look like. You are my nature.

    - I adore your ending, it is like your life feels complete with them no matter what you have missed out on, non of it seems important anymore because you have this new found nature that is even better to experience. I also like how you made the first line and last line the same as the title, worked really well and summed the poem up exactly to its point.

Beautiful poem, really enjoyed it. x

Another beautiful poem, Chelsey. I usually don't read many love poems, but yours are worth breaking that rule. :)
