So sorry for your loss Andrea....this was a beautiful poem in commemoration. Those flowers will grow and there will be a new song like you wrote. Take care.

This is really beautiful Maple and it so very touching. The opening is so moving to think of falling petals as the news of the loss of loved ones. You opened the poem with the tone of your heart and the grief and it drew me right in to the empathy of what it feels like and how devastating it is.

I really like how you have Glorious Roses with a capital R, representing the lady and having it as her name and also the beautiful flower. This was very clever.

I also like the idea of the flowers kissing you permission to cry, then you accept this permisson and you allow yourself to grieve for these ladies and who and what they were.

You then go on to show a bit of yourself in the poem and how you are trying to be there for them to comfort them and show them ways to carry on and hold on. To give them the strength they need.

Your ending was also very touching and gave the message that they will never be forgotton and the memories and their voices will forever sing out and be alive.
