Forgotten Feathers

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 20, 2013

Clipping my wings,
feather by feather
until I can fly no more.

Plucking them slowly,
torn from the route
to release my innocent blood.

Throwing them away
into the darkness
as they camouflage into the soil.

Forgotten feathers
stolen from their home.

Lost forever inside
the ground of your cruelty.

Beautiful this poem is so creative and touching I find myself speechless. There's so much sadness and emotions throughout this poem. I feel like you're telling a story about two lovers and one is draining the other person in the relationship of their emotions, self-esteem, and love.

    Excellent 5/5

    This is brilliant, and creative.
I love the idea of the feathers shows a great amount of sadness, how you pluck the feathers one by one, shows how you maybe are giving up, and you dont want to dream and go on with life. It feels that you were forced you didnt want to do it, but you had to.
    Great job Saffis, loved this:)
