Stranger

by natalie   Jan 22, 2013

I once knew love,
Her beauty, her grace,
I longed for her touch,
For her to take place,

She once came to me,
And sad was her depart,
No sign of beauty nor grace,
Leaving me with a broken heart,

Mistaken was I,
To believe she was sincere,
I closed my heart,
Hoping she would never re-appear,

Now she is a stranger,
And that she shall be,
Until someone proves,
The contrary to me...

This is a very cute poem. I love the use of your wording here. I love the use contrary at the end I think it fits perfectly. I love the emotion in this poem sad though. Its not great experiencing a broken heart. 5
