Uhmm uhmm.. how can someone light up a flame under the water?

i like the way this piece was constructed, I also like the thought process of how i was picturing the tree being cut down and this someone having his sleeves rolled up as it's shaking and the loud noise. My thoughts as I read it was that this someone was cutting the tree to create a fire.. but then under the water.. the idea of the flame went poof! there is no flame.

then I am thinking that I am missing something because its in the love poems...

would it be in reference to the love that is shown with your words of how this someone cuts the tree... I have no clue.
