-Wait! Please, take this before you leave.
-Uh, what's that?
-Something I wrote.
-But..You've never written anything before..
-I know, right? This is my first poem and it's for you and only you.
-What's about me that inspired you?
-Oh Liz. Just read it, please.
''You know I come from a broken home.
My mom never really was able to raise her kids.
My dad abandoned us when I was only seven months old.
My grandma was the only person I could count on,
but she passed away before I had the chance to thank her.
I never had any good friends, they'd all betray me
and laugh behind my back, call me loser and retard.
I only had one friend that I fully trusted and that until
she broke my heart when she didn't keep my secret safe.
As for high school, the bullies hadn't forgotten me
and they made sure I never felt satisfied with myself.
No girl ever liked me, no one approached me,
rumours about me were spreading, I was on my own.
I had lost myself somewhere along the road,
and I didn't know where to go anymore.
I couldn't find a meaning in my miserable life,
everything would just get so much worse.
And then you came and I saw the spark in your eyes,
I saw hope, I saw dreams and wishes, I saw life itself.
Your arms offered me the warm home I never had
and your wide smile brought me tears of joy.
You touched me in ways that no one else ever has,
you gave a meaning to my life,
you gave me a reason to wake up every morning,
you made my nights bearable.
You gave me the strength to fight my worst demons
and the courage to finally let out my bad feelings.
You gave me a shoulder to lean on
but most importantly, you gave me someone to love.''
-Why are you telling me this now? Why like this?
-Because I was too stupid to understand how much you meant to me. I never thought there would come a day that I'd lose you.
It hurts more than anything, seeing you packing. I've waited months to say this but You're all I've ever loved. So please, pretty please, don't go.
-I can't. I'm sorry. I love you but I need to fix myself now.
