As hard and painful as it is to come to terms
with a dear one's departure, it does bring a smile to the face for we had the chance to be with that
person and create memorable memories..touching and beautifully penned.

A strong write of bitterness in time past being let go and learning to move on from what could have been. It is always so important to remember that we should be appreciative of the fact that we got to be part of someones life. Even if we no longer are a part of their life at least we got to know them. Many times people become so bitter and hatred begins to build for this person when in fact there shouldn't be any. Learning to move on and let go is part of life and a strong sign of maturity is when one comes to this realization.

Your poem has a lot of nice imagery in it and a interesting stanza format that flowed the poem right along. Your poem has a more saddening effect in the beginning, but as the poem goes on we get to see the bright side of the story. I love several parts in your poem. I really liked the third stanza I believe it is. Nice rhyming though you didn't have a rhyme scheme. Overall a wonderful poem with a simple but strong message. Great job and keep writing!

It takes the inner strenth to put a past behind. Moving forward sometimes is the hardest thing to do, but i've learnt with time that people will always be who they are and lovers are no exception. I always enjoyed your poems.

This is a powerful poem. It holds a lot of conviction.

    No more tears,
    only smiles shall grace
    this face.

--- A very powerful statement to start a poem. It tells the reader that this poem will hold strength and optimism.

    Memories linger of a love
    greater than
    years can span.

--- Memories can sometimes be bittersweet yet we still cling to them so much for they give us reasons to change and start over again.

Hopes dashed by simple words, it's over.
    Love ended,
    time suspended.

--- "It's over" can really destroy your whole world. It makes time stop as if there's no more reason to keep moving on.

    A broken heart will mend,
and no more will it cry.
    Simply said, goodbye.

--- Everything will be okay in the end. Everything happens to make us stronger. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

I hope you write more poems... For this poem really brings inspiration. I hope to see you write again. 5/5

Okay Sylvia this is one of my favorite quotes so that warmed my heart to see you write about it. I loved the interpretation you used in the poem. You did a great job with it. I love how you consistantly made the lines short and I believe each one tells a sad story all their own. You started out great with the first stanza and brought so much hope to a sad situation. Goodbye is never easy but through the tears you can see a smile thats bright. I like the connection between goodbye and memorirs.

We can always remember the good times even if we say goodbye so I believe the tears can can be happy orsad. You miss the pperson so much that you cry but do you cry because you are sad or happy for the memorirs your heart holds? The third stanza is good too because it keeps with the rest of the "tone " of the poem. Love can hurt so much but it's better to feel loved and than lose it than never feel it at all.

I loved how each line/stanza you seem to paint a different emotion. I thought that was very clever. Hearts do mend I agree. Sometimes it is better to say goodbye and just move on. Overall you did the quote proud I feel. It is perfect and lovely. Well done!!
