I used to be happy
Always had a smile on my face
I wonder if I can go back

Looking back to elementary years
Running around; having a blast
Playing hide and go seek was fun
I wish I never grew up

Looking back to middle school years
It was only the beginning..
I had friends; I had enemies
Problems grew as I did

Looking back to my high school years
They're not quite done yet
But I wish it was over with
It's the worst of my life

I see laughing; I see smiles
I was carefree
Unaware of the world around me

Looking back through my life
I see ups and downs
I see smiles and tears
I see love and hate
These flashbacks..

Without looking back
I could've never gotten here
Life has ups and downs
But that's what shapes our futures
