To be a Leader or to be Leadered [Double Tanka]

by Khalid M Darwish   Feb 1, 2013

Know how to command -
if you want to be obeyed
First they'll neglect you,
then they'll make fun of you, then
fight you, then you win

unless you're kneeling -
nobody can make you back
a horseback to ride
You insist to be a worm,
don't blame those who trample you

    I like this one, too!

"don't blame those who trample you"

^^This is such a true piece. It could be controversial, and I'm sure some people will whine, or just whine in their heads, but it's right on the dot. We often blame people who walk all over us, or push us around, when in fact, it is us who needs to grow a spine, and stand up for ourselves. Growing from that is how leaders are made. Great job!

Stand up for yourself, you choose what you will be.

true, we choose if we want to be a leader or if we are going to let someone leadered us.
