One day I might quit this obsession.

Left raw and melting in this sunlight.

reach out to grasp at tomorrow.

I'll get off your spinning carousel.

Watch blue skies with clearer eyes.

My feet will be rooted to the ground as
my strength stands the test of time.

My voice will be nothing but a whisper,
floating upon the wind through
winters defunct leaves...
