Crystal glass slumbers at the crossing
of our toes; we are emotionless as these
shards jut out this way and that,
symmetry we've never seen before
in all our different lives.

alien to us --- for we can only imagine
how they would execute their incisions
on faces we don't have.

our bodies struggle with weight,
there are lines of scars we have not
yet found origins from.

pedestrians hatched inside cruets while
this jagged glass froze like
invisible eyes on our motives;
a skull set in ambush - marking
our hide and inscribing that we
try and walk...

away from ourselves.

another abstract write beginning with the image of fallen glass, in hundreds of different sizes and shapes.

    I'm speechless. This is really unique! The entire time I was reading this, I was envision shards of glass falling on me, not somewhere I'd want to be, haha, but I'm glad that your imagery is so effective. Great read!
