Riding the Train

by Maple Tree   Feb 2, 2013

Steam loaded,
taking a ride,
far and wide, leaving
hand prints at the base
of arrival, screaming engine
burns.

What a rush, salty skies
whisper explosive tension
in the air of heightened
excitement, faster-
faster- twisting, turning
welcoming the tunnel-

Eight inches to go, railway
and my way... This ride
is a thunderous explosive,

locomotive-

As I am an entirely innocent person, I only read this as a train spotter would and I am left wondering

'did you take the number of this steam locomotive?'

You are so freaking hilarious! I totally got the sensual feeling here as well..

AMAZIZNG metaphor for it...honestly, you are the Queen of metaphors, but this one actually blew me away..its hard to cover up a personal, naughty poem *cough cough*....but you did that entirely to well here, making two stories seem beautiful...one about a REAL journey on a train ride..another on a ...well you know. LOL

I freaking love this and I know you knew I would! :)
