Just One Cuddle

I find it really amazing that no matter how dark
the day has been, you still manage to make the sun appear
in the blue sky of my mind.

With just one cuddle, the pain floats away to a
different stream and I become embraced
in the river of being loved by you.

Your comforting arms wrapped tightly around me
keeping me safe from any harm. I feel a sense of calmness
travel through my entire body until it reaches my eyes
and I find them unable to stay open any longer.

I find it really amazing how just one cuddle
can make time pass by so fast as it makes minutes
feel like seconds but at the same time minutes
turn into precious hours within the blink of an eye.

My mind becomes a crystal ball in your presence,
clear and empty, yet I feel it filled with peace and serenity.
Hope beats through my heart with every reflective echo
of your heart beat through my ears.

And isn't it amazing that just one of these cuddles
can rebuild my trust and top up my strength
with reasons to carry on.

It may be just one cuddle by appearance
but it offers so much more than you will ever know.
And I find it really amazing that just one cuddle
has taught my heart how to be loved.
