An Angel's Power

I always believed his lies, the power they contained
and that he was the most powerful being on this earth.
My mind being so young accepted his twisted words
of false wisdom without questioning his resources.
Years dragged me by as his power grew stronger
and the fear inside me was spreading like wildfire.
I feared my life would never be my own because
through his power he controlled my world.

But I have learned of a higher power,
the strongest power this world can hold.
The power of an angel's loveconquers all
and stands eternally undefeated.
This new power is currently being stitched
inside my heart replacing the loose threads of his lies.

An angel's love holds as much power
as my heart will ever need
and with this power she holds,
frowns can be turned into smiles,
tear drops into giggling bubbles
and create miracles in which her love
slowly mends my mind
and has already healed my heart.
