This piece had me visualizing a woman standing at the base of the ocean, with tears in her eyes, missing her man.. beloved... oh the metaphor was perfect here... it had heartbreak, romance... and an antiquish feeling here... reminds me of the ladies back in the day... when their loves were off at sea, and they went months without a single letter.... Oh be still my heart <3 This is beautiful!

Oh sweet mother of the sea... this is like something out of an historical romance novel... I can picture it all... woman standing on the cliff overlooking the ocean, waves crashing on the shore below, holding the unopened letters, looking out to sea, a lonely tear drop upon her cheek...

Very creative write Meme, I love the flow and the innocence of it but wondered why Misc? I felt a romantic tone throughout, or metaphorically a tone of something in life we are longing for but cannot seem to find.

Haha, for some odd reason I imagine this letter to be put in a bottle and thrown to the sea... while this lady was in the shore waiting for her love to find the bottle and come to meet her.

This was really sweet and tender, I fell in love with the final stanza the most.

I felt, too, this was a tender write. The wonder and curiosity gives off such innocence to the reader and I honestly can't help but smile when you ask "Where are you now?". This write soothes me when reading, and it also reminds me of when we are searching for ourselves, wondering where we will go, where we've come from. The creativity in beginning with "Dear Admiral" and ending with "Sincerely, your final harbor" just warmed my heart....what sincerity. If this person could rest with you and know your heart is home, than that would be all that would matter in life. Wonderful!
