A Girl Unnamed

by Magdeline   Feb 7, 2013

There was a small girl
Who lived in a forest
She danced in the moonlight
She never did rest

There was a witch
Who stole a small girl
This girl was a dancer
And lived without rest

Day after day
Moon after moon
This was the way
The girl danced without tune

The girl soon grew weak
Her dance wouldn't speak
The way it had always
Under the moon

This girl soon had perished
And never was mentioned
But maybe, Just maybe
Yes, there is no question

This girl with no name
Who danced with no tune
She died all the same
Under the moon

Many years after that
The moon said it's share
To a girl with a name
About a girl who had danced
