Life gave many reasons to cherish
Painful memories which never perish
And many more reasons to cry
Tears were not wiped but left to dry
Cold world, with deceivers around
I stood strong, alone, with only dreams to surround
But, now you are with me in winters and rains
Oh Little Mermaid, how sincerely you scribble my pains!
Help me break the silence and fears within me
Guide me through the dreams I'm yet to see..

    I think writing for ourselves is a great release/activity, it usually comes down to some sort of realisation, and we'd oftentimes discover ourselves more. I especially love the ending lines; trusting yourself more. I think it's necessary to trust ourselves first, before we could truly trust anybody else. Great job!

    The and in the 2nd line should be removed it would flow better imho.
