Wounded

by Chris   Feb 13, 2013

Just like days turn into nights,
As leaves on a tree begin to fall, turning it into a lonely winter branch
My love sealed letter, returned and never opened now lies beneath,
This tree once filled with life
Now slowly disintegrates, leaving scars carved memories Upon the wounded trunk,
Visible for the eye to see,
The roots once strong now vulnerable, weak. Is all that lies beneath.

Intense, beautiful, so terribly sad,"my love sealed letter, returned and never opened"so tragic.
