The one I love

When we met, I didn't think that I would love you the way I do. Our friendship began and that's how you became the one I love. The way your lips curved up in to that seductive smile of yours., and even the way you wrote made me smile like crazy. Then you told me you loved me too! I didn't stop smiling for days. You had a commitment. I knew it would be hard., but I promised I wouldn't cry. And I didn't. But you still thought I wasn't strong enough.. You were still the one I loved. I tried to move on , but you were constantly on my mind. I met other people but you were the one I loved. After 3 months,, you called me., said you were home for a week and that you wanted to see me.!!! I knew you couldn't stop loving me from one day to the other! so I went to see you. You promise to keep in touch., and at first you did, but gradually we lost contact. Turns out you had someone else... So I move on. I meet someone and I find myself comparing him to you... Months go by... I don't know anything about you but your still the one I love. I hear from you again. You tell me she's pregnant but you want to be with me. I knew you still loved me! But you lied. You didn't want me. Months go by again. You tell me that this time it's serious and we will try. Once again I believe you because you're the one I love. You disappear for what seems forever... Then you show up again and you're with someone new. This is when I finally realize that I'm not the one you love., yet you are the one I love. I've learned to live without you., but you're Still THE ONE I LOVE.
