Winter's Breath

by SouthernGal   Feb 17, 2013

There's a certain silence
After a newly fallen snow
From Winter's breath, a blanket's laid
On the frozen ground below
With the cold and it's darkness
Brings an absence of life
Everything living, everything breathing
Seeks shelter inside
Winter's grip entangles you
Within its gloomy grasp
Drawing out your many breaths
How long will this last
