Beautiful Bright Poetry

She crooned a chorus within a nervous mind
of scrambling breakfast worries, along with
toasted nightmares.

I knew the darkness would rise high in
the steam of my coffee cup today,
she filtered the air with a fragrance
of wild flower kisses, and bright
sunshine napkins, showering the
eyes of a teary one with a touch
of sugary optimism.

Dinner shall greet the weary with a hope
for smiles on the side of my worried plate,
I will be able to consume the darkness
of tomorrow with a grin.

This poetic display is enriched with beautiful
and bright tomorrows....

    Oh Andrea I adored this!!!! You know the first thing I saw when I clicked on this poem was "crooned". I absolutely love that word, it is so much more passionate to me than saying 'she sang'. I really felt your words. words Like I'm just waking up, having doubts about what's to come, but feeling and seeing these colors of hope come alive before my eyes. Loved the constant metaphors and this line made me smile "I will be able to consume the darkness of tomorrow with a smile". What inspiration, thanks for sharing such a sweet and strengthening piece.

    I love this, and I know this was hard to write, but it shows you're strength and that is one thing I admire about you, though you know there are many, another is you're beautiful pen and the way you transcend your thoughts into your writes, always always draws a gasp from me, a breath of beauty.

    I love this one, it was just beautifully written, blew me away, You're awesome :)
