Our Safe Haven (Collaboration)

by Poet on the Piano & xXx Eternal PainxXx   Feb 19, 2013

There was no chance of rain, yet I saw
the stormy haze in your eyes, and I knew
this would be a wordless storm that would
make me unafraid.
Could anybody see the fire foraging
much more than passion in the very center
of my irises? Or was it too sacred for
common people and common sense?

For I was learning to love your kindness,
all on my own.

The whispers on the seas,
calming me as you set me
on fire little by little.
Thy heart slowly started beating up again
as I laid bare there to the four winds,
All thoughts came up the same,
just of you.

The savage winds never paid us much
mind, until they pushed me closer to you.
You had words caught in snow drifts and
I was just trying to tie you back together,
so I let the amber fire inside my chest
reach out to your doubts.
Let the wildfire between us speak
before our secret fades completely away.

A kiss I give to this great passion
that fills the earth... Aphrodite herself envied
our love, secret but safe as I lay in your arms,
content to be yours till time ends.

Little do our friends and ones who take
us home realize where we stand...
for once you recognized me, taking me
from my place of wilderness, I knew
where my life was heading and it's nowhere
anyone has ever gone before.
Darling, it's where you are.
