The wave weary sailor Coming home from the sea Far on the horizon His home it must be The world he has traveled Through wide stormy seas But now he comes home Where he longs to be The ship moves too slowly As his eyes strain to see The faces of loved ones In whose arms he'll soon be His time will pass quickly This home life of ease But the sea will recall him And the call he will heed Such is the life Of a man of the seaInspired by the quote "wave weary sailor" by Thomas Jefferson
