Road to Nowhere

Road to Nowhere

Ice's stronghold on the surface, leaves destruction in its wake,
I am also a casualty,
Breath like smoke, I am in The Land Nod,
Sight a blur, feeling the touch of Skadi's hand on my neck,

This was meant to be,
I have been in my fast car for too long,
Driving through any conditions with reckless abandonment,
Slipping and sliding, hurting whoever gets in my way,

Buying expensive clothes, and not giving back to the community,
This was my destiny,
I was in a hurry to go nowhere,
Now I have a second chance,

Can't tell where is east or west,
I'm too cold to care,
I have to find shelter,
On this road to nowhere.

I really enjoyed this, I like the idea of going somewhere so fast and in such a hurry that we do not stop and see what we pass on the way or the people we hurt in that journey. Then we realise that we do not actually know where we have been headed all along.

Very meaningful poem which can be related to so many people in life and the situations we become trapped in. Nice work.

Gratitude!! You hit it right on the head. A lot of people find themselves in a fast car and won't realize it until they crash. Thank you for the love ;)

Oh wow Chris...Andrea and James always do this in a title toss, without knowing it they create masterpieces...this is one of them.

I love the thought process in this, and the comparisons between what we do and what we are destined to do, the chances we don't take are the ones we should and the chances we do take lead us nowhere...you captured the life path perfectly.

    Awesome job...

:))) your words wrap my heart and rejoice. Thank you soooooooooo much. I just picture one scenario like the crash in the beginning, then think of how he got there and where is he going. It all just came together. Gratitude :)
