Angie I cannot tell you how much I am in love witht his poem. It really touches me because I have this blanket and the description even seems to fit it. I sleep with this blanket and I honestly feel safer waking up when I can touch it and it brings me out of my nightmares and calms me down.

i cannot believe you have written such a simple thing inside this form and pulled it off the way you have! I love it very very much. It is quite a personal poem for me and I thank you for writing it!! xxx

Love the title of this one, very alluring :) The ending was impressive, too, three is nothing like a good blanket that can be the only thing keeping you going during tough times.

Wow. This is such an original piece. And it's so me. I added this to my favorites. This poem signifies pretty much what my blanket means to me. My grandmother crocheted it, and I have it wrapped around me every night.

I also love the mention of 'tear stained'. It makes me think. When I think of that, it's multidimensional. When I was a child, and I would throw fits, I would cry into my blanket. So the tear stains could signify childhood. Another thing this could mean, for me, is the blanket just being there in hardship. It brings out a childlike quality about the character in this poem. I remember when my grandmother passed away, within the hour, I was up in my room sobbing into this blanket, and since then, I always sleep with it.

I really love this poem. How it didn't get further recognition, I do not understand, but wow. So lovely.
