My son you've just married
Life begins a new phase
Words of wisdom I owe you
To help guide and ease the way

But this world has changed vastly
Since my wedding day
What wisdom can I offer?
Not knowing the challengs of today

But... from father to son
I offer this from bygone days

Cling to your wife
Show her love every day
Try to keep her safe and happy
Have some fun along the way

Family, frends and children
Will come and go as time slips away
But a wife remains with you
In every possible way

Without her you won't exist
In history, feature
Or one moment of the day

And last but not least
For her love and good health
