Yearning to Learn

Yearning to learn to teach anyone a lesson
ideas as our map as masters have written,
Some want peace others a Smith & Wesson
to go around and smite before they are smitten.

Do we want to make war, do we want to make love,
reaching in our pocket for a piece or a peace
beyond understanding that may help us rise above,
so our hearts may have their way for bloodshed to cease?

Teachers must learn what the professors are teaching
Authorities are ordained with badge or degree
Meanwhile life in the Spirit is great, love is reaching
those held captive yet yearning, learning to be free
