When my alarm went off
I found my head at my feet
I tossed and turned all night
Never could go to sleep
All I could think about
Were the last words that we spoke
That's when I knew
That my G.P.S. was broke
I got up out of bed
And stumbled to my feet
Headed to the kitchen
To get a bite to eat
Found myself in the bathroom
Staring at the commode
That's when I knew
That my G.P.S. was broke
I then went to the window
Watched the rain pour down
Put on some lotion
To tan nice and brown
When I drove to the beach
I heard the thunder roll
That's when I knew
My G.P.S. was broke
I went back home
Put on my suit and tie
Took off my glasses
Put my contacts in my eyes
Lit up a cigarette
Then remembered I don't smoke
That's when I knew
My G.P.S. was broke
I got back in my car
Headed off to work
I some how ended up
At the local church
I pulled on the handles
But the doors were locked and closed
That's when I knew
My G.P.S. was broke
When I got back home
I decided not to try anymore
So I went to sleep in the bed
But I woke up in the floor
My body was burning up, stiff and sore
My clothes thoroughly soaked
That's when I knew
My G.P.S. was broke
Every one has a G.P.S. system
That helps guide them through life
It may be a friend, a colleague
A husband or a wife
There is one thing
I've come to know
Since you've been gone
My G.P.S. has been broke
