On the shore of such an enchanting sea,
I stand, letting the breeze brush any ailments away
The clear sky as blue as a blue jay, holding secrets not meant to be seen
I close my eyes in utter ecstasy and smell the bouquet
Of salts erupting from the spray of waves loudly crashing
Upon the water's edge... Beauty that cannot be put in words
Fish jumping from the clear water, joyously splashing
I smile and laugh at such glorious sights not meant for this world
Grateful I am to be able to witness such grace
That of which a mere photograph cannot capture
In these majestic open, serene, spaces
And if I were to ever walk away, I would assume it was a dream that I'd always return to thereafter.
Upon the water's edge I stand wishing for the beauty to never end
And for it to embrace me as it has the land it claims
And as the sun slowly descends,
The sky erupts into such a glow that can only be described as the hottest flames...
As I stand on this delicate, breathtaking, shore
I welcome the scents of the sea's breath
Because of this enchanting sea, engulfed in ecstasy, I walk through the door
That leads to such relieving peace and such lovely serenity...
Great write!
I love the use of descriptive words woven explicitly throughout this poem allowing me to be there with the water smelling the breeze, seeing the skies and waters and the fishes. It takes a good writer to make their words seep from words to life and you have done this incredibly well!
