Hidden Secrets

by Baby Rainbow   Mar 3, 2013

Shameful secrets
swept under the carpet,
collecting dust as time
walks over them.

Creating bumps
and an uneven surface,
like a volcano trying to contain
its gurgling lava in the pit of its exploding stomach.

Instead of solving the problems,
they get ignored and
believed to be forgotten,
but these secrets have their eyes wide open.

Sooner than you think,
the day will come when the carpet
reaches the ceiling.

Leaving you no choice
but to trip over buried secrets
and land back inside your past.
