    The imagery set here is a mixture of beautiful nature and dark sadness...its a great combination.

    You know I always love your writes and this piece was no exception, I loved the usage of animals and nature...the whole thing just felt so serene yet vividly powerful.

    I hate critiquing work, especially when I love it so much...however, the first stanza had some flow issues...

    I tried to tidy it up a little to how I feel it should sound, I'm not sure if you just had typing errors so...

    Deep night calling, 'tween branches
    of twisted rigor-mortise fingers, laced
    with knowledge of who and why,
    owls screech while mice
    scurry, I whisper to glory;

    I love love love the ending, it is so you...dear tree

    :)
    Hugs

    And may the Great Spirit help guide them on their journey

    I always love your nature pieces no matter the subject, but this one, I don't know, it just really touched me in ways I cannot explain...
