Dirty

by Baby Rainbow   Mar 4, 2013

And when I'm gone
just bury me
beneath the dirt
in the only place
that I belong.

You always said
I was a dirty girl
and no amount of soap
would ever wash me clean.

I'm tired of scrubbing
my irritated skin
to remove the traces
that you have
encrusted within.

Even my blood
does not erase
the marks of sin
that you have
smothered
in my mind.

So when I'm gone
just bury me
beneath the dirt
in the only place
that I belong.
