My Enemy

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 5, 2013

I found the worst enemy I could ever face...
She looks down upon every part of me
And whispers in a voice so unrecognizable that it leaves a trace
Of utter and terrifying depression lurking overhead for only me to see
This enemy, she entombs me in my own hate and loveless lies
While I am suspended over an abyss, my very own hell,
She laughs and buries me alive
Removing all oxygen from my lungs, feeling as if I fell,
With one last caustic kiss,
A kiss of the worst death I know,
From her acidic lips...
In truth I should be grateful for this enemy of mine, she ended the show
I act out each and every lonesome day
Could this all just be
One more agonizing step,
Towards my beautiful insanity?
I found the worst enemy I could ever face...
She looks down upon every part of me
As I look into the shattered mirror
And see that I am my worst enemy
