Chels.....im commenting on my cell phone so forgive the spelling errors..ill fix later. I just read this to momma p and we both cried...its that powerful..to miss someone is painful and even the memory is enough to make a hesrt break...this deserves to be highlited...hugs you |
I agree with andrea. The memory of a lost one can tear you apart. You see them when you sleep, when your awake, and when you just close your eyes. Strong are the words you use. Very strong. |
Chelsey, I too was moved by this and the way you crafted some of these phrases, making it more meaningful than just saying this loved one is gone and you miss them. I so agree that memory is such a powerful tool and if I could not or was not allowed to think of that person who impacted my life....it would be a lasting hurt. That last line was amazing and hit home -- especially how you mentioned how vividly they come into your life, you must keep remembering because it's a different kind of pain not to be able to. Beautifully written with such real emotion....I loved reading this one!!! |

Chelsey, I felt the pain in your lines, and it was really powerful, touching a part of me and bringing forth such emotion...which was transcribed within the lines. |

The first stanza felt a little.. stiff for me. Like you had a lot to say and a lot of sadness/attitude to go with it but you didn't quite know how to get it out. It shows the frustration really well. |
These poems always hit so deep so mix that with your gut - wrenching talent and here we are I thought it was |
