Utopia

by HOLLY ARMER   Jul 1, 2004

Joyous slumber,
cover my head.
Make me forget
the life that I dread.

Help me escape from
my worries each day.
And lead me to
a land far, far away.

A place where fairies float
close to the ground.
And gnomes roam peacefully
without a sound.

Take me to a garden
where flowers always bloom.
Or to the depths of the forest
under a psychedelic mushroom.

Let me drift above
on a cloud in flight.
Or let me rest upon a star
on a moon-less night.

Let the ocean sweep me
to an uncharted land.
Or let me find serenity
on an island of sand.

Just give me peace from
the problems I see.
So that my tormented soul
can finally be free!!!!

another great poem... I dunno why it got such low votes.... the "ones bandit" doesn't usually strike so soon... LOL....

Personally, I feel like a couple of your lines got split at an awkward place...

one of them was "Let me drift above on" I think the "on" should be downon the next line to flow more smoothly... the other one that stuck out to me was an "a" a few lines above that, but I can't remember exactly what it said.

Anyway, it was an AWESOME poem
