What happens when you lose the ability to decided
to decipher the difference between reality and a dream?
Finding something that should be real
and questioning whether its actually solid
To meet people and interact with objects
and realizing they were just fragments
pieces of an imagination
To have a friend all your life
and figure out they were never there
They whisper comforts but they don't understand
You don't know what its like to have perception change
and it passes so suddenly
You would do anything to get it back
You called it home
They called it mental
The pills just fog
The exercises are dizzying
I want to just be happy
The chance of being normal was too low
so they shipped my off to a land of knives
a land of whips and lust
Depression was my hope
Pain was my escape
those people I met support me
Its funny the real people don't
As I make my journey to the hospital
As I plunge into a world of madness
