These Broken Dreams

by WintersAngel   Mar 16, 2013

Shattered and torn apart.
Ripped straight from my heart.

The failure that I am,
Burns through my core.
Screams in my head,
Say I should have been more.

Stepped on and squished,
Filled with all types of anguish.

These broken dreams won't heal,
The memories burning inside.
It hurts to think,
How often you must have lied.

Pain and suffering,
Making me feel like a nothing.

There is honesty and feeling in this and other poems of yours as well. I get the sense their is a real human being there. Funny how sometimes people around us don't seem to notice us until we start screaming from the roof tops. I sense some of that frustration in your poems. A person could conclude by so much apparent disinterest on the part of those around us that either he/she is crazy or the world is some bizzaro land where people aren't supposed to feel anything or, if they have the misfortune of having feelings, certainly should know that propriety dictates they keep them to themselves.
