Eyes in the Mist (Shadorma)

by Maple Tree   Mar 20, 2013

Beautiful
eyes in misty clouds
gazing high,
higher still
lingering upon a breeze
of sweet memories.

The Shadorma is a Spanish 6-line syllabic poem of 3/5/3/3/7/5 syllable lines respectively.

I am not really a fan of formed poetry, too restrictive telling you how many syllables you can use and all that malarky.......

However, I am warming to this one.

Very tight, very bright and I think the 'higher still' line was very clever, heightens the pace slightly as you read.
Nice images are aroused when reading this.

    good write maples.

If I could elaborate, you know I would...but this is simply beautiful.

Thank you for introducing us to new forms because I just love this! Gonna give it a go!

Sweet, elegant, to the point. Love it!
