WOW. Such beautiful imagery! This is a cryptic one, to me at least, but it gives me a chance to read this more times than I probably originally would've. I love how the imagery in the first two stanzas draw you into this fantasy. Then the third stanza brings you to a halt, commanding your attention. I love the conclusion. I don't know what it means, to be honest, but I have my own interpretations. This is a very powerful poem and is visually stunning to the mind's eye, and the ambiguity adds mystique. Great write, Hannah. Favorited!

Hannah, I am a little bit baffled. Im not sure how to even comment on this!!

The creativity here is just wonderful!!! And I like the word Ole used "drama"...who would of thought you could make a nature poem read like a drama movie? I found it suspenseful with amazing metaphors.

This is indeed a mysterious write and I can only try my best to read between the lines...sugar....I'm associating this with snow but...I don't think I'm right...apart from the colour being the same..sugar is sweet.

Charcoal diamonds?...could that be icicles...I'm really not sure....this is intruging me more and more the further I read into it :)

This stanza has me really thinking...a rose would blush but for some unknown reason I thought you were referring to a tree or...at least using one as a metaphor for something else. I'd really like to know where your mind was when you wrote the last line here....it just has the reading saying...WHAT! WHAT does she mean....I HAVE to know so...please pm me lol!

I think it's one of those poems that you read and although don't know what the meaning behind it was and from where it was written but you can interpret it in different ways and it could mean something different to each reader...I feel like this was talking about being violated by someone, your body being stripped of its innocence, but I may be wrong and again, I like that because sometimes the writes are personal and don't need to be delved into to understand that they are powerful and emotionally charged...

the addition of winter, and the whole nature tone was beautiful, you'll soon see how connected the Free Spirits are with nature..

Well this is a powerful piece! Black Ice itself is a seductress of the road, and can catch you when least expected... Being a nature freak, its pretty to the eye, but can be deadly if not expected...

I took many angles on this piece as well.. perhaps a hidden message on a personal note? I do love digging a bit deeper in poems.. I'm notorious for wrapping several meanings into my nature pieces so forgive me for rambling, but this poem just truly gets me! love it
